Jim's journey began as the beloved son of a close-knit family in Des Arc, and he carried the warmth of his upbringing throughout his life. A devoted husband of 48 years, Jim's love story with his wife Terri was one of mutual respect and deep affection. Jim was a proud father to his late daughter Rhonda, Kim and her husband Chris Lyday, Jimmy Dawn Burson, and his sons, James and his wife Sarah, and Phillip with his wife Bobbie Jo. Each of his children embodied the values he held dear and he took immense pride in their accomplishments.
Jim's joy multiplied with the arrival of each grandchild, and he was blessed to be a grandfather to Kody and his wife Paige, Kristopher and his wife Sarah, Daniel Klorres, Amanda and her husband Mike Sylva, Alexandria Taylor, and Callum and Kaiya Taylor. His great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kirra, Aurora, Logan, Makala, Hannah, Karl, Jeremy, and Karly, brought him great delight, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Jim's siblings, Butch, Jesse, Frieda, and Louise Bell, shared in the many adventures and moments of laughter that filled Jim's life. Each family gathering was a celebration of the bond they all shared, and Jim's presence was a source of comfort and joy to his brothers and sisters.
